A music-themed 2-player fighting game packed into an itty bitty resolution space!

Employ one of three instruments (each imbued with phenomenal cosmic power!) and astound your friends and enemies with your enchanting performance as you execute masterful techniques that will crush their spirits.

Craft your dazzling recitals in one of three venues accompanied by royalty free tunes that will keep the blood pumping and the adrenaline running!

Music Kombat is best suited for play on computers with the volume up to feel the groove of the music! Quick Note: the game may take some time to load due to having to load relatively large mp3 files. Furthermore, the game has been tested on Windows 10 in Firefox and Chrome.

This solo project was made possible by the Phaser 3 game framework and Arcade physics engine. Taking almost 3 weeks to develop, Music Kombat wouldn't have seen the light of day without the extensive documentation and hospitable community surrounding the open source package. :)

Pixel artwork and animations were designed in Aseprite and later compiled into texture atlases using ShoeBox.
